The fish oil used in Lester's Oil and Lester's Oil Advanced products originates from premium-grade EU Human Consumption crude fish oil, primarily sourced from anchovies and sardines renowned for their superior quality. Fisheries adhere to rigorous standards certified by IFFO RS and Friend of the Sea, ensuring sustainability and ethical practices.
Every batch undergoes meticulous analysis conducted by accredited suppliers, guaranteeing its purity and potency. Our supplier provides a diverse array of EPA and DHA ratios available in both ethyl ester (EE) and natural triglyceride (TG) forms. With a total omega-3 content ranging from 70% to 90%, our fish oil consistently delivers optimal health benefits for our valued customers.
Additionally, we conduct our own independent lab tests to ensure each batch of Lester’s Oil and Lester’s Oil Advanced meets or exceeds its omega-3 claims.
International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organisation (IFFO)
The international non-profit organisation which represents fishmeal and fish oil producers. The IFFO has developed a Global Standard and Certificate Program for Responsible Supply of Fishmeal and Fish Oil (IFFORS). GCRO sources only IFFO RS approved raw materials from approved plants from this area.
Our supplier upholds the highest standards of sustainability and responsibility in sourcing raw materials for our products. They collaborate closely with IFFO, the esteemed international non-profit organization representing fishmeal and fish oil producers.
Recognizing the importance of ethical sourcing, IFFO has developed a stringent Global Standard and Certificate Program for Responsible Supply of Fishmeal and Fish Oil (IFFO RS).
Friends of the Sea Certification Program
Sustainability is a top priority in the production of our fish oil concentrates. To demonstrate Croda’s commitment to responsible sourcing and supply the fish oil we use has achieved certification by Friend of the Sea, a non-profit non-governative organisation whose mission is to conserve the marine habitat. The Friend of the Sea certification program provides assurance that the fisheries in Croda’s supply chain are operating responsibly - including no overfishing, no bycatch of endangered species and no illegal, unreported or unregulated (IUU) fish.
