Croda - our fish oil

There are many questions around the sustainability and purity of fish oils on the market, and whether they meet the standards that consumers require. We sought out the very best in manufacturing of fish oil, not available locally.

Our fish oil for Lester’s Oil and Lester’s Oil Gold products are manufactured at Croda’s dedicated facility in the UK using their PureMax™ purification technology and the benefit of over 30 years’ experience to provide our customers with quality assurance. Investment in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) technologies and lipid research and development ensures they continue to deliver exceptional Omega 3 fish oil concentrates for About Health.

Clinical Studies

Croda are active in the support of clinical studies around the world to further develop knowledge of the health benefits of fish oils. They work with a large number of research institutes to support the evaluation of the fish oil concentrates used in Lester’s Oil and Lester’s Oil Gold across all areas of health and wellness, including cardiovascular health, pregnancy, rheumatoid arthritis, cholesterol and cancers. The amount of clinical work based on Croda’s fish oils provides strong scientific assurance of their health benefits.

PureMax Technology

Croda’s fish oil concentrates are produced using PureMax technology, which both selectively concentrates EPA and/or DHA while stripping out environmental contaminants. Their proprietary PureMax process encompasses multiple refining steps and quality checks and we test every single batch against all specification parameters to provide 100% confidence to our customers.

Quality & Sustainability

Croda are ISO 20400 certified: Sustainable Procurement

Friend of the sea

Sustainability is a top priority in the production of our fish oil concentrates. To demonstrate Croda’s commitment to responsible sourcing and supply the fish oil we use has achieved certification by Friend of the Sea, a non-profit non-governative organisation whose mission is to conserve the marine habitat. The Friend of the Sea certification program provides assurance that the fisheries in Croda’s supply chain are operating responsibly - including no overfishing, no bycatch of endangered species and no illegal, unreported or unregulated (IUU) fish. You can find out more at Friend of the Sea.
