Top Lester's Oil FAQ's

About Health Lester's Oil contains a number of nutrients that are suspended in the oil base, they are not completely soluble and these can sometimes settle to form opaque objects within the capsule; these are quite normal and safe to consume. We recommend that you store your Lester's Oil in a cool dark location - the fridge is a great place particularly over summer. This will increase the likelihood of solidification of some of the ingredients and you may find that over time some of the other capsules also take on this appearance, again this is quite normal.

Generally speaking, no. This is in part due to the quality of the fish oil we use in Lester’s Oil. It undergoes a process of molecular distillation which removed traces of heavy metals and other impurities. Fish oils that haven’t been processed in this way can have more impurities and stronger odour. Secondly, because we work hard to maintain the freshness of the fish oil in Lester’s Oil, and we have every batch tested to prove that the omega 3 fatty acid content has not degraded - you are very unlikely to experience odourous fishy burps. If you suffer from gastro-esophogeal reflux disorder (GERD), or any other reflux issues, then there is a higher risk of reflux occurring with any fish oil product, including our About Health Lester’s Oil. Some of our customers have found that by taking 1 capsule twice a day (e.g. one with breakfast and one with dinner) that this alleviates any mild reflux problems. Taking it as close to eating as possible may also help. If you suffer from severe reflux or heartburn, you may wish to discuss the use of Lester’s Oil with us first, or with your doctor.

The fish oil in Lester’s Oil is a purified, concentrated oil. We have every batch of Lester's Oil lab tested in New Zealand, and any mercury remaining is below detection limits.

Lester’s Oil is beneficial for skin health and appearance. A little known fact about Omega-3 is that it's important for skin health as well. Lester’s Oil also contains several other key ingredients, and we have had a lot of positive feedback from customers delighted with improvements in their skin, hair and nails. Fish Oil is known to support healthy cholesterol levels. Lester’s Oil contains a very high quality fish oil with twice the Omega-3’s of normal, bulk standard fish oil.

The recommended dosage of Lester's Oil is two soft gel capsules in the morning, with a meal, or as instructed by a health practitioner.

Yes, Lester's Oil and Lester's Oil Advanced products use fish oil sourced sustainably. The fish oil originates from premium-grade EU Human Consumption crude fish oil. The fisheries adhere to rigorous standards certified by IFFO RS (International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organisation Responsible Supply) and Friend of the Sea.

The fish used to create Lester's Oil and Lester's Oil Advanced products primarily comes from anchovies and sardines, which are known for their superior quality and high omega-3 content.

There is no definitive time frame within which we can say Res-V Ultimate or Plus will have a positive impact on each individual, because personal health and lifestyle factors play major roles in each person’s wellbeing. Generally speaking, however, our customers report benefits from as little as three weeks and up to three months after taking Res-V Ultimate or Plus.

Yes, this is fine.

Generic FAQ's

All of our products except for Lester's Oil and Lester's Oil Advanced are in two-piece vegetarian capsules. You can easily open the capsules and mix the contents in with a beverage and take them in this way. There are no safety or efficacy issues with this, but they have not been formulated for taste, so there are no flavours or sweeteners, meaning taking our products this way does not taste amazing and not all components will dissolve. Some products, especially those with herbal extracts, taste quite bitter whereas our Element 12 Magnesium for example is quite bland. You can mix with a small amount of water or juice, even better would be something with the texture of yoghurt, keeping it to just a spoonful to administer supplements, rather than mixing it all in with your food (as it will spoil your meal). Do not mix with hot food, cool or cold is best.
