Nail signs. Many people suffer from peeling flaking nails or nails that break easily. Nail strengthening varnish can help temporarily but don’t get down to the real cause of chipping or cracking nails. These nails signs can indicate that there are inadequate minerals or protein in the diet, or lack of hydrochloric acid (lack of stomach juice digestion). Need more protein? Eat varied forms of protein from dairy products, meat, fish and vegetable protein from pulses, grains and legumes. • Hydrochloric acid – you can buy Radience hydrochloric acid from health stores. Take before meals to ensure better digestion of protein and minerals. • Minerals – buy a high potency mineral formula from health stores or pharmacies. Remember, it takes time to improve the condition of your nails because they grow slow, so be patient.

RES-V PLUS Information

How RES-V PLUS works

The key ingredient Resveratrol is expertly combined with red grape skin, green tea, pine bark and turmeric to naturally support energy, joint mobility, prostate, breast, brain, cell and heart health.

What is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is an exciting natural compound found in red wine, red grape skin, Japanese Knotweed, peanuts and some berries. [1] Resveratrol is the subject of extensive research into numerous health benefits, involving heart, brain, prostate, breast health and muscle and joint mobility. Additionally many scientists believe it to be responsible for the 'French Paradox' [1]: the French have low rates of heart disease compared to many other countries. This is despite the fact that they have many risk factors, including a high fat diet, smoking and drink a significant amount coffee. All are known contributrs to high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke and heart attacks-the leading cause of death in New Zealand. [2] It is theorised that this benefit is caused by the consumption of moderate amounts of red wine-a pastime enjoyed by many French people. Red wine is a source of Resveratrol.

Other Resveratrol Benefits

Testing shows that resveratrol can be heart protective where cholesterol is concerned, assist skin health, energy levels, prostate and breast health. Lastly and famously, initial research conducted in Europe on fish and non-invertebrates show increased lifespans of between 33%-60%, increased motility, fertility and memory [3, 4], demonstrating that resveratrol is one of the most exciting prospects for studies on increasing human longevity and diseases of age.

Resveratrol Sources

Resveratrol is concentrated in the skin of red grapes, which is why red wine-especially the Pinot Nior variety-contains far higher amounts of resveratrol than white wines or grape juice. However to obtain the correct dose of resveratrol from red wine you’d have to drink a few bottles of red wine a day - not very good for your liver or memory. However there is good news, you don’t need to drink copious amounts of red wine to get the benefits from Resveratrol as it is also sourced from Japanese Knotweed, a traditional herb used in Japanese and Chinese medicine. Each daily capsule of Resveratrol Plus conatins the equivalent resveratrol content of between 15 and 35 bottles of red wine, without the alcohol induced damage to your liver and memory.

Japanese Knotweed

It is understood that Japanese Knotweed is the richest source and contains the highest concentrations of resveratrol. For example, this product may contain the average equivalent of the resveratrol content of 35 bottles of red wine sourced from Japanese Knotweed.

Turmeric Information

A well known Indian herb that gives you the yellow colour commonly used in Indian and Asian cooking. Turmeric contains curcumin, a natural chemical that supports joint mobility and movement, affords protection against winter chills and ills and supports immunity and brain function as we get older.

Pine Bark Information

The bark from Pine (Pinus massoniana) has been used in East Asian traditional medicine for centuries. However it has only been discovered in the last decade of the 20th century that the extract from Chinese Pine has potent antioxidant properties. Bioactive substances called polyphenols discovered in Chinese pine bark help the body’s natural cells’ defense against the harmful effects of free radicals. Excess free radicals destroy healthy cells, leading to degenerative disease which may include low energy, aging skin, poor vision, arthritis, poor sexual function, varicose veins, heart and brain disease. It’s important that we have natural antioxidants daily from our foods and supplement where necessary to support healthy aging.

Green Tea Information

In Asia it is a social custom to drink green tea (polyphenols). This refreshing beverage has higher levels of antioxidants called catechins than black tea, commonly consumed in the west. Green tea fortifies the immune system, assists a healthy liver function, assists with healthy heart, brain and joint function.

Directions

For general health adults take one capsule daily (morning, noon or night) with or without food or as directed by a healthcare professional. For optimum results 2-3 capsules can be taken daily. Some people report noticeable benefits from taking 2-3 capsules for the first 5 days then reducing to one capsule daily for maintenance. For a longer healthier life combine with a healthy balanced diet and exercise.

Vegetarians

The capsule in non-vegetarian (gelatine) however vegetarians can open the capsule by pulling the halves apart and add to a little juice to make a paste. Top up with a little more fruit juice and drink. If needed, may be sweetened with honey.
