Getting back to great health
What a wild ride the past two and a half years have been. Lockdowns, financial hardship/uncertainty, stress of not being able to be with close friends or family, stress of juggling home schooling, job losses or changes, covid infection, long covid health impacts…the list of stress points could go on and on. As we come out the other side of this global pandemic, we are now being presented with the additional strain of all the myriad of viruses and bacteria that we were somewhat sheltered from for two years that are now out in abundance. Phew, it’s a lot to deal with! Many people are finding that it is in fact too much to handle, and our once strong and resilient body is getting knocked around with one bout of illness after another.

When we think of our immune system, do supplements or herbals work?
There are a number of supplements and natural remedies being promoted to prevent or treat COVID19, we don’t know for certain whether they will help people who are sick but some, such as vitamin D, look like low risk and very low-cost options to possibly reduce risk of illness and/or severe illness. Prevention is much easier than a cure etc, that’s the real purpose of supplements, giving ourselves a better chance of staying healthier for longer by supporting our immune system.

Natural vs OTC pain relief
Pain. It’s something we’re all familiar with and can agree it’s something we don’t want to invite to stay long in our bodies.

Willow Bark: The Nature’s Aspirin
It’s not uncommon for people to think of herbal medicine as a ‘new age’ trend. Actually, the opposite is more accurate. The use of plants as medicine dates back as far as there are records of human cultures and civilisations. But few of these traditionally used plants have been brought through modern science development quite like Salix alba, common name white willow bark and one of the best-known natural sources of salicylic acid.

What is PEA?
As we age, we find that the wear and tear of living can bring about discomfort in everyday activities. Living with discomfort is not what we want and yet it is more prevalent than ever. Research shows us that over 60% of over-60’s suffers from some form of chronic pain, and yet the only solutions out there are pharmaceutical products that may or may not have other effects on the body.
