| Iron absorptionAs we know, iron deficiency or iron anaemia causes fatigue and can be common mainly in women. The best way to determine lack of iron is to have a blood test as you don’t want to supplement unnecessarily. An overload can be dangerous to the heart and liver. Include more lean beef or ham, tofu, pumpkin seeds, spinach, chickpeas and molasses in your diet or find an iron supplement that is chelated to prevent supplemental constipation. Remember if you are taking vitamin E take it away from your iron and avoid smoking, soft drinks, tea and coffee. These adversely affect iron absorption. Close

I take Warfarin and am wondering if I am able to get the benefits of RES-V® PLUS.
|
Our stance as a natural supplement company (rather than working one-on-one with clients in a clinic setting) is to recommend the public DO NOT take RES-V® PLUS while on Warfarin. This is due to the lack of scientific evidence showing the safety of interactions or adverse reactions when combining these two products. While we have no evidence of negative interactions it is ABOUT HEALTH’S policy to err on the side of caution.
There are a variety of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and life-style initiatives that can be implemented to assist with cardiovascular health; however these must be undertaken with a natural health practitioner, who will confer with your doctor. |
Is it safe to take Aspirin or Cartia with RES-V® PLUS?
|
Yes we are happy for our customers to take RES-V® PLUS (at the recommended daily dose) while taking Aspirin or Cartia. To date we have no reports of any interactions. In our view, based on reports from clinical practice, feedback and naturopathic experience, RES-V® PLUS would have to be taken in very large amounts (beyond the recommendations cited on our information), for a long period of time, to produce any adverse interactions with mild blood-thinners. |
Do I need to tell my doctor that I am taking RES-V® PLUS?
|
It is always prudent to inform your Doctor when you start a new supplement if you are taking medication. If your GP is not familiar with the ingredients in any About Health products he can send an enquiry to our technical team via email. |
Do I take Res-V® PLUS at the same time as my other medications?
|
Yes it fine to take RVP with your other medications, but it is not imperative. |
Can I take RES-V® PLUS if I am taking antidepressant medication?
Can I take Methotrexate with RES-V® PLUS?
I am going to have an operation in 2 months. Do I need to stop taking RES-V® PLUS?
|
Yes, we recommend stopping RVP two weeks before surgery, and resuming your usual dosage two weeks after surgery as long as there are no complications, and you are given the all clear by your doctor to resume your normal routines. |
