Nailing healthy living?Think of simple ways to remove toxins from your environment. I try to buff my nails rather than apply nail polish to them. They look better, the shiny healthy look lasts longer and it’s great for circulation. Don’t get me wrong, on the odd special occasion I put on nail polish but there’s one extra benefit of keeping your nails varnish free. You can tell your health status. Doctors and naturopaths can even diagnose iron deficiency by looking at your nails. • Vertical ridges are very common as you get older. You may lack protein or more commonly minerals in your diet. • White spots usually mean you’re zinc deficient. This can effect immunity, libido and healing.

Pine Bark Information

The bark from Pine (Pinus massoniana) has been used in East Asian traditional medicine for centuries. However it has only been discovered in the last decade of the 20th century that the extract from Chinese Pine has potent antioxidant properties. Bioactive substances called polyphenols discovered in Chinese pine bark help the body’s natural cells’ defense against the harmful effects of free radicals. Excess free radicals destroy healthy cells, leading to degenerative disease which may include low energy, aging skin, poor vision, arthritis, poor sexual function, varicose veins, heart and brain disease. It’s important that we have natural antioxidants daily from our foods and supplement where necessary to support healthy aging.
