Nailing healthy living?Think of simple ways to remove toxins from your environment. I try to buff my nails rather than apply nail polish to them. They look better, the shiny healthy look lasts longer and it’s great for circulation. Don’t get me wrong, on the odd special occasion I put on nail polish but there’s one extra benefit of keeping your nails varnish free. You can tell your health status. Doctors and naturopaths can even diagnose iron deficiency by looking at your nails.
• Vertical ridges are very common as you get older. You may lack protein or more commonly minerals in your diet.
• White spots usually mean you’re zinc deficient. This can effect immunity, libido and healing. Close

Course a boost for natural medicine By Maria Slade An Auckland training institution has begun the country's first degree in naturopathy, a move welcomed by the natural health industry as a further step towards legitimation....The degree course would cover basic medical science such as anatomy, physiology, pathology and health assessment, and students would be trained to know when to refer patients for more sophisticated treatments. Lani Lopez, one of New Zealand's few degree-qualified naturopaths, gained her qualification from an Australian university by correspondence. She said that 10 to 15 years ago there was "a definite line" between naturopaths and orthodox mainstream medicine. Now doctors would ring her to discuss a patient's treatment. Lopez said traditional medicine could only do so much for some chronic illnesses and people were using supplements to manage their conditions alongside prescribed pharmaceuticals.
25/6/2009 It’s hard to know when it’s safe to leave the house to get the kids to daycare some mornings. The news is constantly bombarding us with the cold, hard facts about the latest flu epidemic, yet it seems no one is really sure how to successfully avoid or manage this apparently pervasive virus.
29/4/09: More than 10,000 New Zealanders are diagnosed as suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. And that's only those who are diagnosed. Many more are suffering from these inflammatory common and debilitating complaints.

Testimonials
Leighton Smith- Newstalk ZB "I had seen the doctor who recommended I cut down on salt and caffeine to help my blood pressure. After taking Res-V Plus he says my blood pressure is that of a young healthy man."
Mike Hosking- Newstalk ZB "I had a blood test/medical. My cholesterol came back the lowest ever. My doctor couldn’t believe it. At least some of that will be Res-V Plus, so its all good!"
Alice Worsley- Breakfast Newsreader Big 106.2 FM Auckland "I have been taking Res-V Plus for several years now and Lani's latest product Multiva for the last six months. Being in Breakfast Radio requires getting up early which contributes to tiredness and feeling run down from time to time, so having these products on board each day helps to contribute to my general wellbeing.
I have been a great admirer of Lani’s knowledge when it comes to good health and respect the tremendous amount of research that goes into each of About Health’s Products, and the fact they are made with New Zealanders' health first and foremost"
